To create a sustainable community, I believe we firstly have to understand what is sustainable. Sustainable can be told in a way to reduce excessiveness or also reduce energy waste.
There is this article I read today its call the “Consumer Stuff”. They provide information about environmental and sustainability issues concerning consumers, including buying ‘green’, the real cost of food, smarter transport options, and the consuming culture.
I read one of this topic called, “Buy ‘green’, save money”. The overview for this topic is to allow student able to explore the costs and benefits of being a ‘green consumer’, and learn how to select environmentally friendly products and energy efficient home.
Energy saving helps to maintain the sustainable manner, to reduce, re-use and recycle enable to reduce production is also equalize to energy saving.
This article also taught the readers how to start saving and from making records on our daily usage such as utility use and food planner, can also tell us how to save, to summarise, making record can alert us what we have waste.
There is actually a lot of benefit on ‘going green’, using energy efficiently can reduce the energy bills and environmental impacts. Consumers can often choose the wrong option, both for their financial and environment, because they have not had all the information they needed before making a purchase.
I think being a wise ‘go green’ consumer there is a lot of knowledge we should lay hands on and start to understand the information. Such as getting to know the label and symbol of the information can make our life easy on recycling. When the knowledge have been well practice, then it is much more easy to succeed sustainable community.
